Ethiopia Girls’ Books

The Ethiopia girls’ book, Growth and Changes, was developed in 2013 in partnership with Miz-Hasab Research Center. The book targets early adolescents aged 10-14, and incorporates real life stories as well as factual guidance about puberty, menstruation and body changes. Growth and Changes is now available in twelve local languages including: Amharic, Agnuak-Gambella, Majang-Gambella, Oromiffa, Nuer-Gambella, Af-Somali-Somali, and Tigrinya.

We conducted research in Ethiopia from 2021-2023 (interrupted briefly by the COVID-19 pandemic) with adolescent boys for the development of the Ethiopia boys’ book “Becoming a Young Man” which is available below in three languages with more coming soon!
